I just checked my final grade in one of the two courses I took last semester. So both courses turned out to be flat 1 (perfect score in the Universityof the Philippines Grading System). My last flat 1 was when I aced my college thesis x years ago. Well, although I got consistent As in Nagoya University, a 1 in UP is still tough to earn!
Thank You so much, Abba God, for "cute" victories like this.
I consider this "victory" because 1) I defeated that feeling of disappointment when I got a grade of 2 two semesters ago which I didn't deserve
2) I got a 1 in one of those courses because I respectfully raised a valid concern to the faculty-in-charge that made her realize her mistake (erratic question phrasing that caused many students to provide inaccurate answers) and opened an opportunity for us - me and our kind teacher - to have a mutually-respectful conversation between professionals.
3) I got to accomplish these courses amid my busy schedule at work. I also had to let go much of my weekends to work on the course requirements and study for the tests
